Faculty

R.D. Anderson staff members have a distinct instructional advantage in that they are able to rely on industry experience in training students. Industry training and certifications help provide students with real world information to supplement the theory and hands-on application of the classroom. Instructors strive to get students to take existing knowledge and use it to acquire new knowledge, develop new skills, and broaden their understanding of the career and technology course they are taking. The teaching staff at RDA also provides students with a variety of ways in which to learn CATE competencies using visual, auditory, and hands-on applications, as well as collaborative learning.

We have 29 instructors at R.D. Anderson and are proud of the vast experiences they bring to the students we serve. The faculty and staff are actively involved in state and national organizations. Each occupational program and instructor is supported by an advisory committee made up of individuals from business and industry with expertise in a particular area. Typically, advisory committees consider topics such as suggested program revision, new program offerings, and equipment acquisitions. The committees are also involved with student recruitment, student placement, continuing education, financial and instructional support.

R.D. Anderson instructors are encouraged to remain informed of current best practices and procedures in their respective fields and to seek avenues to make certain students receive the best possible training and education while they attend our center!
