Whether you want to start your own business or become an invaluable asset to your employer, this one unit course is for you! Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in our rapidly changing and interconnected business environment. Students will explore all aspects of starting and maintaining a business, including advertising, marketing, human resources, customer service, and finance. Computers and Internet technology will be integrated throughout the course enabling students to see how businesses compete in a global economy. Throughout the semester, students will put their knowledge into practice through the development of a business plan. Public speaking, writing, and reading skills will also be enhanced.
